Sourcemap mention in Breitling 2022 Sustainability Report
We have partnered with Sourcemap, a leading supply-chain transparency company, to track the Breitling Super Chronomat 38 Origins’ gold and lab-grown diamonds. Sourcemap provides an independently validated chain of custody as well as supplier environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices.
— Breitling Sustainability: the 2022 Mission Report
As part of a pilot project with Sourcemap and Satelligence, the BMW Group used satellite data and big data analyses to achieve far-reaching supply chain transparency, all the way through to the origins of a raw material. Based on a single raw material the company procures directly from five suppliers, it was possible to identify 50 subcontractors and 9,000 raw material sources. The results were then linked to data from satellites, geo-information systems and supply chains, allowing the environmental impact to be monitored in selected regions of the world in real time.
— BMW Group

Sourcemap puts all of this important [raw material] information together and makes it easily accessible. Not only to those who own the files, but also by others, e.g. procurement, corporate affairs, quality assurance teams.

Sourcemap in Deckers 2022 Sustainability Report
We have partnered with third-party experts Sourcemap and Amber Road to use technology to further support our traceability efforts. To that end we have identified five key commodities that we believe are priority (either due to social or environmental risks) to establish our traceability framework. These include the following: hides, cotton, timber, rubber, and man-made cellulosic fibers (MMCFs). Following this identification, we have worked with our technology partners to establish processes with our suppliers to identify and mitigate risks related to our raw materials.

Sourcemap in Ferrero 2021 Sustainability Report
To fulfil our ambition of full traceability to farm level by 2023, we have worked with Sourcemap, a leading provider of supply-chain mapping and digital-transparency solutions, aiming to develop a global traceability platform by tracing hazelnuts from farm to factory.

We successfully piloted Sourcemap’s platform with a selection of Turkish and Italian suppliers, and then rolled it out to all suppliers in our key hazelnut countries, to use data science to detect incoming agricultural and social challenges, and to ensure improvement.

In 2021, we implemented Sourcemap, a new tool to enable better data collection and traceability of raw materials. Moving forward, we will use Sourcemap to focus on key materials, such as wood, cotton and leather. Supply chain issues are both environmental and social, and we’re using tools to gain greater visibility into labor and environmental risks.
