EU Announces TRACES Suspension Through Mid-April
Last week, the EU announced a scheduled suspension of the EU TRACES system starting Monday, February 16th. The suspension will last until approximately mid-April, with an exact date of re-opening to be announced. This suspension will allow TRACES to be updated according to the EUDR simplification measures agreed upon in December 2025, which are now reflected in the adopted text.
During this period, the following limitations will apply to the EU TRACES system:
The LIVE production server will be in read-only mode and will not accept DDS submissions.
The ACCEPTANCE server (replica training platform) will be unavailable.
While these measures are in place, no new registrations for operator accounts will be accepted and no new submissions will be available on either server. These will be able to resume as soon as the system reopens.
