Mapping the Path to Resilience: Sourcemap Recognized in HHS Supply Chain Research Plan
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has released its 2025–2028 Research Plan aimed at addressing critical shortages and strengthening the resilience of medical product and food supply chains. In this strategic roadmap, Sourcemap is highlighted as a key technological resource for supply chain mapping, a process the department identifies as essential for increasing visibility into complex global networks.
By identifying Sourcemap as a tool for visualizing and measuring supply chain nodes, the HHS report underscores the importance of advanced mapping in predicting disruptions—from geopolitical risks to natural disasters. Integrating these capabilities is vital for the U.S. government’s goal to transition from reactive measures to proactive risk management, ensuring the continuous availability of life-saving medicines and critical foods for all Americans.
